Rodents are an important part of our ecosystem, and some people even keep them as pets, but wild rodents have no place in your home or on your property. Rats and other rodents are known toRodent in Cage spread bacteria and parasites, and they can do serious physical damage to your property as well.

Over the past three decades, Critter Control® has built a reputation as one of the premier rodent removal solutions in the country, and we can help you with any rodent infestation you may be dealing with.

How to tell if you have rodents

  • Droppings – Rodents are constantly chewing and eating to keep the length of their teeth in check, and because of that, they create a large amount of waste. One of the most telltale signs of rodent activity is finding droppings scattered around your property. They are typically less than ¼” long and are oblong in shape. At first glance it may look like dirt that somebody tracked into the house, and you will often find it along the bottoms of walls, or in the garage.
  • Nests – Another sign of intrusion you may notice depending on where it’s located, is a nest. Typically they’re located in inconspicuous areas like in attics, basement, or inside of walls, and can be made of a variety of materials like paper or attic insulation.
  • Foul odors – Rodents are not sanitary creatures, and they create a range of odors when inside a house. Their urine creates a foul stench, and any rodents that become trapped and die in your house will begin to smell within days. Those things that create odors also transmit bacteria, so professional removal and cleanup is recommended.
  • Bite marks – Exposed wood and other areas like electrical wiring are common targets for rodents to chew on. Wooden beams inside your attic, as well as baseboards or moldings, may also have holes or other damage gnawed into them.
